Just an Update!

I should be studying for my pharm test while I am here at work but blogging is just more fun right now...actually it's amazing what I find to do sometimes just so I don't have to study, it seems to be all what I do!! But only 3 weeks left and finals!! Yeah..I love the program but I am completely excited to be a MOM all summer! I was spoiled spring break and got just a glimpse of how nice it is going to be...playing at the park, going for walks, enjoying the weather, laughing at Ems cute little ways, cleaning (yes cleaning!), making dinner for my hubby, and being around with my hubby to actually be a wife!! It was so fun, I was in Heaven!!
We stayed here in Cedar most of the week and enjoyed the weather and being home! This is what I found Emma doing while I was in the kitchen...pulling out all of her wipes and throwing them around her!

Kaye and Kelsey came to Cedar for a few days and then headed to St. George, but on their stay in Cedar they watched Emma while we had a date to the movie! As you can tell Ems LOVED having them tend..she got treats..frazels are so yummy;) I love this pic cause if you look close you can see it falling down her chin!

Ems and I took a trip to St. George to see Kelsey and Kaye and after shopping and finding some cute outfits for Ems for summer we headed to see my grandpa and grandma! It was so nice seeing them, it seems that when they are in St. George we don't get to see them very often even though they are so close! We enjoyed the afternoon with them visiting and Ems entertaining us. Emma loved it on their grass, it was so green and soft, grandpa is making her laugh..so precious!!

My grandpa would do this for us as kids and has continued to do it with all of his great-grand kids too...he puts his finger in his cheek and pops it. Emma just stared at him trying to figure out what he was doing;)
For St. Patty's day Ems and I made green pancakes, milk, and applesauce for breakfast for Daddy!

Then at the end of the week all 3 of us headed back down to St. George to hang out with Kaye and Kelsey again! It was so nice and relaxing! We went shopping when we first got their and found Emma's Easter dress and these cute glasses that we are trying to get her to wear! We would have to distract her with other things so she would keep them on but all in all she did really good...I was impressed! Thanks guys for playing with us for a couple of days...I didn't want to leave!

The rest of the time we hung out at the house enjoying the company and weather! We took Ems to see the ducks and swans...this swan wasn't very nice it would follow you wherever you went and if you got too close snap at you! But she is pretty!
I love this picture of her in her cute sun hat from Nana and her chin rolls!

Since spring break our lives have been consumed with school and work! Andrew is in his last semester of the MBA program so he has been really busy with classes and his big final project! He amazes me at how he gets everything accomplished and does so well in class, and doesn't seem overwhelmed...me on the other hand, not so smooth flowing! But I am getting there...yeah;)

On the move!

I finally am sitting down at work and going to update our blog some. We have been really busy as usual but enjoying every minute as it comes...but that doesn't mean I can't hardly wait for summer to come and I get to be a MOM full time!! I am completely EXCITED!! Em's has been growing so much and has been keeping us on our toes! It was amazing how fast she went from sitting to now crawling!

She has taken a new love to pickles and sucks and gums them while she eats! She takes it out long enough to take a bite of her food and back in it goes....she acts like it is her binki! As you can tell in the picture it is flat on the end, that's from her gumming it!!

We went to Salt Lake to Andrew's grandpa's graveside service and it was such a beautiful day and enjoyable time to celebrate his grandpa's life as well as meet many new people. I got to see Andrew's Uncle Pat who I had only met once and his Uncle Mike who I had never met ( Andrew's Dads brothers). They were so fun and Emma loved them ;) They were hillarious, I was constantly laughing...when you get all those Walton men together it is pretty funny ;) At the graveside I sat Emma down to take some pictures, wondering how she would like the grass..well she didn't mind at all she liked pulling it and in this pic she decided to try some...

This is her playing with everything on her changing table. She loves to pull things off and explore what she can find on the shelf. She even tries to climb up on it...hasn't been successful yet but I am sure she will soon!

My mom and dad came down and visited us a couple of weekends ago and we had a lot of fun with them here! Emma adored all the attention and loved hanging out with them and wearing Grandpa's hat ;) Thanks for coming we loved having you guys!

She is so fun and loves to play with a toy for a second and then on to another. She can be sitting in the middle of the room with lots of toys around her and she battles her way through them to go to the TV stand! It is her favorite thing in the living room! The first day she really found out she could crawl she went straight to it and loves it! She puts her tiny fingers in the VHS slot and pushes buttons...it's fun to watch how amazed she is with it! However I realized we never use our VHS and I could see little finger marks in the dust in it...yuck! She also love to unplug it so we have had to put her little rocking chair in front of the outlet so she isn't constantly by it trying to unplug it ;)

This was the day after she took her first few crawls and now she goes everywhere, it is so much fun! She loves being able to go on her own, considering she gets to explore new places...some have been in her corner with all her toys, in the back room, kitchen, under the table, stairs...just about everywhere she is now checking out! I love it!! I love her face in this video...so determined! At the very end you can see her tongue sticking out...she does this ALL the time, she just loves having it out!

Enjoying the Warmth!

Because the weather has been so nice lately we have taken advantage of it as much as possible! We have gone on walks, rode our bikes, and took Emma swimming for the first time! This weather just makes me have spring fever...which isn't so good considering we are only JANUARY!! It definately hasn't been extremely warm but nice enough to bundle up and brave it for a little while, not to mention Emma absolutely loves being outside..she never makes a peep, just loves looking at all her surroundings!

We decided to take Emma to the SUU pool and she if she would like it. It turns out she had lots of fun! She never fussed or cried at all! At first she liked to stay close to us and just checked out her new surroundings but by the time we left she was kicking and didn't have to be right next to us! She is such a people watcher...she would stare at everyone in the pool and smile at all the kids when they would look her way! It was so much fun for us...we are now just waiting on a new pool toy for her..I can't wait!!

We hadn't been on a bike ride since a month before Emma was born so we were so excited to get out and take our little bundle with us...this time with dad! She seemed to really find it relaxing since about twenty minutes into the ride I looked over and she was snoozing!! We considered going home but figured she must be warm and comfortable so we kept riding! She did look like a little bobble doll at times..but slept right through it!

Christmas Week!

We had such a great Christmas week! We opened up our Christmas from my parents before we took off for Salt Lake to be with Andrew's family this year. We were happy to get more food storage, now with what we had gives us our year supply ;)!

Christmas Eve we took aff and headed to Salt Lake! We had such an enjoyable long weekend. We were able to spend all of our time with family! It was relaxing and fun. Kelsey and Emma in her Christmas jammies Nana got her! I think she is so stinkin' cute with her night cap! We enjoyed the evening in our jammies and read the Christmas story with the fam.

Christmas morning was crazy! Dan was santa and handed out all the presents to everyone and the craziness began! Carson and Emery were so much fun watching open their presents, they actually are beginning to understand what is going on! Emma was just passed around to everyone while Andrew and I opened hers! I was given a special surprise when I opened my new "toy" a Nikon D60 with all the fun gagets a future soccer mom would ever need. Santa brought us so many amazing things...absolutely spoiled!!! Thank you fam!!!

Aaron, Andrew, and Kelsey enjoyed playing rock band..they were pretty good! Emma enjoying her stocking presents from Santa!!
Santa brought Emma a jumper! She absolutely LOVES it! She jumps and jumps..it is so fun to watch her...I wish I had her energy!

We also went and saw Grandpa Walton (Andrew's grandpa) he is such a funny guy, and we enjoy getting so see him, since we don't get to often. This was the first time he saw Emma so we had to get some pictures!

Already 3 Years!!!

I can't believe that it has been three years since we were married! Time has just flown by! This past weekend we celebrated by going to Vegas! My mom came to Cedar and watched Emma for us while we had a weekend away. It was so hard leaving my baby and I missed her tons, but it was really nice to get away with my Amazing hubby and just have US time!! So I have to tell my Mom thanks for helping it happen for us!

We had a lot of fun! To begin with we were going to be staying at THE Hotel at the Mandalay Bay Hotel but when we arrived to check in there was no power in THE Hotel so they told us we would have to stay there at the main wing, which was fine with me but I could tell Andrew was a little bugged..he wanted his suite! The room was really nice anyway..even though it had two queen beds ;) ..I thought it was pretty crazy though that the whole building was out of power...you don't see that often in vegas! It was this huge black spot surrounded by lights everywhere else!

On Saturday Andrew was so sweet he had gotten us tickets to go see the Bodies Exhibit! I had been wanting to go so badly and each time we have been in Vegas we haven't been able to go for various reasons...so this time we went!! I absolutely LOVED it!! The human body is so absolutely amazing to me! I can't even begin to understand how there are those that don't believe that we were created by a God! There is absoulutely no way to explain it any other way! I knew that the body was complex but actually seeing EVERYTHING made it that much more crazy to me! I was in Awe...Andrew said he enjoyed it but I doubt as much as I did! So thanks babe for taking me! After the exhibit we wanted to go to the Vegas Temple. I had only been outside of it and wanted to go to a session badly so we set off....and wow we drove forever! After getting our first set of directions we ended up way South of where the Temple was, so we stopped to get gas and Andrew braved up and asked the clerk if he knew how to get to the LDS Temple. The clerk said you mean the big Mormon building on the Hill?! To our amazement he knew where it was and gave us perfect directions to it!! It took us a good half hour to drive from where we were to the temple, so by this time we had been driving for almost two hours! We then pull up to the temple and just our luck...the temple was closed for cleaning!! After all of that I still didn't get to go into the temple! Needless to say we were pretty bummed...we will never forget how to get there again...and it was so simple basically just go East from our Hotel! Atleast we had lots of laughs and great time to visit!

We then spent the remainder of the day walking the strip, eating, shopping, and just being together! We had dinner at the ESPN Zone and were able to watch the first half of the BYU game. Even though they didn't play the greatest it was fun watching it and being the only BYU fans around us with a bunch of Arizona fans!

I had my first experience of GAMBLING! I only wanted to gamble a dollar but all Andrew had was a five so I took it and to no surprise lost it all after about thirty minutes of entertainment on the penny slots! I definately wouldn't ever have a problem with gambling...I hate just throwing away money!! Now atleast I can say I have done it!

It turned out to be such a great weekend! We were really excited to see Em when we got home though..we had both missed her tons! A little shout out to my hubby...Thanks for such a fun time and for always treating me like a Queen! You are the most amazing husband, thanks for always making me laugh and making me want to be better! I don't know how I ever got you but I am truly grateful! I love you tons and tons...mwa!

So CuTe!!

Aren't Myla and Emma just so cute! Andrea, BJ, and Myla came over the other night and Emma and Myla were so cute! Myla is about 5 months older than Emma so she gets around much better but they both just loved to check each other out! It will be fun when Ems can really play with kids...but I don't want to wish away any moments now...so for the time being I just love every minute I get with her!
Myla is tall and skinny and Ems is short and chubby..just the little opposites! Andrea couldn't believe how different my chubby little girl felt holding;)

They were both so serious in this picture, but definately adorable! It was a fun night with everyone!

Thanksgiving!

Wow it has been a while! Last weekend was a lot of fun for us! We were able to finally travel beyond the city limits of Cedar and get as far as Bicknell! We were with my side of the family this year for Thanksgiving, which was lots of fun for me since this is the first year Andrew and I have gone with them because in the past I have had to work, so his fam has been great enough to come to us here in good old Cedar! It was really nice for the break from school! Come the Tuesday before Thanksgiving I had had enough and was ready to set the books aside for a few days and just spent time with Andrew, Emma, and family...my heaven here on earth;) We didn't do anything too exciting over the weekend, but did get to see everyone and enjoy their company. The kids loved holding and playing with Emma and she just loved all of the attention! She must be getting more accustomed to noise because when they all get toether they love to play and be loud and she slept right through it when it came time to go to bed! She is doing so much better at nights..which is very nice since she doesn't hardly sleep at all throughout the day!
Here are some of the boys doing the dishes after dinner! This is a new thing..usually they are watching football while the girls clean up, so this was a nice suprise! Except as you can see Andrew is relaxing, this was his day off too, since he is the best husband ever and helps me cook and clean all the time!!

Here is Grandpa trying to feed Emma. He was so good with her all weekend and kept taking her and playing with her, and trying to feed her licorice and grape punch...I had to put a stop to that;)

Emma absolutely loved Mitch, she would smile so big whenever he came around and talked with her. He spent lots of time entertaining and playing with her! Thanks Mitch, you are such a great cousin!

I love Thanksgiving because it makes me ponder and think about all the many things I am grateful for. The more I think about it the more I realize I am so blessed. I have an amazing husband, sweetest baby, and the best family on both my side and Andrew's! Life may seem crazy and feels like it is flying by but it is good and I am so grateful for all I have!

HaLLoWeEN!!!

This I our little pumpkin!! She is really serious, but very cute! We couldn't get her to smile! We stayed home this year for Halloween! My mom came down to help and visit which has been fun for us. We only had one group of 'trick or treaters' whom were older people! I was sad..I wanted to see all of the little goblins! Here she was holding her treats and checking out her pumpkin!

These were her jam's for Halloween! Her cousins LOVED her pumpkin on her toosh!

Pops grew pumpkins in his garden and gave Emma one so we carved it and tried to get her to fit in it, but not so much luck..she is getting too big! She didn't even mind the wetness of the pumpkin!
