Christmas!!!

We had a fantastic Christmas this year! We stayed here in Cedar for Christmas morning. It is so much fun with a little one! Especially now that she opens presents better! Every time she would open a present she would say "ope"...she wanted to play with EVERYTHING! When we were trying to get her to decide what Santa would bring her we walked down the Toys R Us doll isles to see if she would get excited about a baby doll...but nope...she saw some balls and that made her day....so she asked Santa for a basketball hoop...silly girl, but it didn't get delivered to our home Christmas morning b/c of snow earlier in the week so she opened all her other gifts and aunt Daph saved the day and brought it down to Grandmas where they boys and Emma loved playing it!!
Family pic..aren't we just beautiful!!;)

Her hair was CRAZY!! No time for bath Christmas Eve...we went to some friends and then read the Christmas story when we got home...I had to get ready for work..so she didn't get her bath and boy can you tell by the hair...got to love it!!
After opening gifts and eating off to Bicknell we went! Emma finally got her hoop and loved playing with it with the boys..

Mitch and Shel loved Emmas hoop it gave them entertainment for hours!
I even got in on the playing...still holding Emma..she was giggling and loving every minute!!

Mitch and Shel getting to do some hard work...not so sure at first but by the end they were laughing and having a great time!

All the big kids had their DS's to play with and they would let Emma "write" notes and send them to each other...she LOVED it and they were so good to let her play! She is starting young...yikes!!

She kept saying 'he he' (for horses) and so Uncle Lance saved the day and took her out to see them in the freezing cold!!! Mom wouldn't...I guess that's what good uncles are for;)

All of the kids drew names and gave a present to each other...Emma opening her gift..which she loves...and it's girly..even better;)

Haylie and Aja waiting to open gifts.

...More DS......
It was a fabulous weekend spending time with family..eating, laughing, and playing games!! It is always Crazy at the Durfey home when all the family starts playing game...loud, laughing, and some bantering...wouldn't change a thing! Thanks everyone for a great time we loved seeing all of you!

Early Christmas!

Over the weekend we were finally able to head up to Salt Lake! We hadn't been able to go since July so we were pretty excited to finally go! We enjoyed the weekend spending time with Andrew's parents and sister. We did a lot of Christmas shopping and hanging out. Because we aren't going to be up there for Christmas they had us open up our Christmas while we were there and it sure was fun watching Emma! She is still just getting the hang of it but so cute! Thank you soooo much guys for everything!! Emma got this little bike and today was so absolutely beautiful---45 degrees...sooo fun, almost feels like spring---so I decided to take Ems out to ride her bike instead of pushing her all around our house! She loooovvved it! We decided to pick up the mail while we were out...perfect little carrier!

Opening up presents with Aunt Kels!

First time Emma met Santa and she was TERRIFIED!! Maybe next year we will get a better pic! She wouldn't even sit on my lap by Santa for a picture..oh well..still good memories!

Random pictures...her first pony tail!!! Isn't it just so cute???

She loves to un-decorate the tree! She pushes anything and everything to the tree to pull the bulbs off...she thinks they are balls and likes to play with them! So she takes them off and she helps put them back on several times during the day! Good thing its a kid friendly tree!!

ThAnKsGiViNG!!

This year we had Thanksgiving here in Cedar at Andrew's sisters house with both of his sisters and his parents! It was a great day with fun company and yummy food! The kids had their own little table..Carson even wrote their names on the chair they were supposed to sit at..too cute! This didn't last long for Emma when dinner actually started...she likes to roam if she isn't tied down..but it was a great thought ;)

She got the WHOLE thing in her little mouth!! She loved licking the fresh whip cream!

Our little monkey!! She honestly climbs EVERYTHING! And Asher's pack-n-play is no different...she was trying to get up higher to see him...very funny and cute but oh boy do we have to watch her!!

I can't even say how much Emma loves to feed Harley! And he is so patient with her...she will take one little piece of dog food at a time to give him...so patient he is! I love this picture because she is opening her mouth while she is feeding him...Andrew and I used to find ourselves doing the same thing when we would feed Emma and now she does it to us when she wants to feed us or the dog!! Pay attention you mom's and you will realize you do it too!!!!

These two are little buddies and play so well together! They decided to try and push each other around in Emma's high chair..with no wheels but they seemed to manage pretty well!
Thanksgiving was a wonderful day and I am so grateful for so many blessings in my life I can't even begin to list them it would be WAY to long...especially right now in my life! But I do wake up every morning completely amazed at how much my Heavenly Father loves me and how much he blesses me for no specific reason I can think of. I truly feel blessed to live in this day with the gospel in my life, have such an AMAZING husband, and ANGELIC little girl! I want ALL of my family to know how grateful I am for them and their support and love they each give me...you are all amazing and I love you very much!!

WeLcOme BaBy AsHeR!!

We have to welcome new baby Asher to our family!! He is so much fun and such a little doll! Emma loves to look at him and give him kisses on the head..we just have to watch extra careful..she would probably drag him somewhere if we weren't watching!!
Congrats Jess and Aaron he is so cute and lots of fun already!

DaDdY's LiTTlE HeLpEr!!

We finally got a little more snow in the middle of November so off we sent Em's to help her daddy shovel the sidewalks! She loved every minute! Here she is with her snow ball that she carried around everywhere...this girl absolutely loves any type of ball..silly thing!!

I was getting ready and Emma wanted to stay outside so Andrew decided to put her in her stroller..when I came to find her...this is what I found..too cute!

She actually walked really well in all those clothes!

Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween!! So I am a little late but we had a great Halloween! The night before Andrew and I got dressed up as a 50's couple and went to a FUN party that our friends were having! Andrew wasn't so sure about his costume but decided after we were both dressed up that mine was worse;) I really couldn't figure out how to do my hair 50's style..so I just put it in curlers and it was poofy! The night was fun..I took my camera but didn't get pics..how lame, huh! We ate, played games, and visited! There were lots of fun costumes...great ideas for years to come;) Thanks Liz for all the work and fun!!
Our cute friends!! The were smurfs...I loved it!!

Halloween day we took Ems to SUU where they were having a trunk or treat! Her and Myla were so cute! Emma found this dog and loved it!! I can't wait to let her have a dog...she absolutely LOVES them!!
Then after her nap off to Emerald Pointe we went! They were almost finished so we were the only ones there, but it was fun showing Ems off to all the fun ladies I work with!! They thought she was adorable..I thought so too!!
Our little lady bug!!! Isn't she so stinkin cute!!
Then we headed off trick or treating around our ward! We went with the Taylors and had lots of laughs and fun! Myla and Emma were so fun to watch...they really ended up getting the hang of walking up to the doors and getting treats!!

Waiting...waiting...

Our little lady bug and cat!!
Myla was so good at saying 'thank you' and Emma would 'sign' 'thank you' but everyone thought she was blowing kisses....oh well:) we knew what she was doing!! I decided having kids makes Halloween that much more fun! I have always liked Halloween but with a little one it is lots more fun!! I hope all of you had a fun Halloween!!

October Fun!

I can't believe that it is the end of October already!! Time continues to fly by like crazy!! I feel like I can't keep up or get ahead with anything! Does it ever slow down??! I keep thinking "ok when I am finished with school life will slow down" but the more I think about it the more I realize that it will just be a different busy..but honestly I love my life and I wouldn't change a thing..well except being finished with school;).. I love learning but it is just SOOOO time consuming... Other than that it is pretty much perfect though!! Anyway enough complaining, here are a few pics of our evening of carving pumpkins and Emma's first time playing in the snow by herself!
These are just a couple of fun pics of Ems. She just found these sunglasses in her toy box and now loves wearing them all around the house!
Her new boots from Nana...they are a little big but she didn't seem to mind! Grandpa D will love them!!

Catch up time!

It has been a while since I posted anything! Not anything majorly exciting has been going on besides being here in Cedar..playing with Ems, going to school ;), and working! Here are some pics, however, of the past month of things we have been doing! For FHE this week we took a drive up Cedar Mountain to see all of the leaves changing and it was sooo BEAUTIFUL! I absolutely LOVE it when the leaves change colors...even though they don't last long on the trees after!

A couple stopped when they saw me taking pics and offered to take a pic of us all!

I have been looking for something to help Ems float in the pool because when we hold her in the pool she just wants to take off! So after searching the Internet I found this! It had over 50 reviews and all of them were excellent ratings so I figured it had to be better than some of the others that said 'makes them fall forward or backward', 'not recommended', etc... As soon as she was put into the water she floated to her back and wasn't so sure of this but by the time we left the pool she was able to keep herself centered by her arms! She seemed to really like it! It is actually for a 30-50 pound kid so its a titch big but it doesn't seem to be a problem!! We can't wait to keep using it!

Splash..splash...splash!!!

One of our days off we headed to St. George. We took Ems to this little area in down town and she had sooo much fun! She is such a little social butterfly..she made fun little friends to play with!

I love this picture because of her face...very determined that the water wasn't going to catch up to her! She is such a climber..she makes me nervous sometimes!!

Pure happiness;)
Emma playing in a puddle in our parking lot! I was taking pics and I realized she was bending over licking the WATER like she does in the tub!! Extremely nasty! I kept having to catch her hand before she would put little rocks or whatever could be found in it in her mouth! I don't know if she is ever going to grow out of this stage of putting everything into her mouth!

Dancing in the puddle!

A friend of mine took these fun Pic of Emma! She took some of her little girl and I loved them so we had a photo shoot with Ems and these are just a FEW of the pics she took! There were SOO many that I LOVE so I just randomly picked some to show! Thanks ANDREA you did such a good job...it was lots of fun!!

Life is going great! I LOVE this Semester of school...so interesting...Ems is sooo much fun and keeps us going and laughing! Andrew finally has a break from school...I am happy for because we get to see him more..but he misses school;)
