SuMmEr Is HeRe!

It still hasn't hit me that for the next three months I don't have school..exciting! The past few weeks have been busy but fun! We finished up the semester with finals..which are always exciting! I actually like finals week because it means one more semester down!! We also celebrated Andrew's 25th birthday! It was such a fun day...Emma and I were able to spend the entire day with Andrew..such a treat!! Emma helped daddy open presents, make his cake, played with his balloons, and we went on a picnic to the park to play..nothing exciting but relaxing...which is something Andrew deserved! Hope you had a fun day babe, we love you!
Then graduation! Andrew graduated after another year of tons of hard work excelling the whole way! It has been fun to watch him and see how much he has learned and how knowledgeable he is in the business field! Good job Love we are so proud of you!!!!
It was so fun to be able to go to the commencement service and listen to President Monson speak! We were so close..it was so neat!! The Master graduates come in first so Andrew was only three rows from the front..nice and close!! We were actually seated behind the stage but that was ok because we were close to where they would walk in! It was awesome when after announcing the first two Honorary Doctorate Degree people they then announced President Monson and the entire centrum stood in applause! His talk was great and as usual made you want to always do your best and live in the present to move to the future!

President Monson entering the stage.

Here he was leaving the centrum with security EVERYWHERE!!!

I sure love this guy!!! Just after he was robed!

We had the yummiest chocolate cake at Jess's house that Kelsey and Kaye made and Ems thought it was really tasty as well!

Since graduation I have made my list and I am progressively marking things off of tasks I have wanted to get finished...and I have loved every minute of it. Not to mention I have the best little helper...I put something away and here is my shadow putting it where she thinks it should go! Double the work but triple the joy...I just love being with her all day!!

I was trying to clean out under the stairs where we use it as a pantry and here is my little helper moving things how she likes!!

Emma has turned into quite the little climber...she tries to climb over and up everything! She is getting so fast at going up the stairs, it is the coming down that she struggles with...she just doesn't understand why she can't crawl face forward down....

Easter Weekend!

To begin our Easter Emma received a package from Nana and Pops full of fun Easter things..new outfit, book, duck, and candy! She loved playing with the package and her duck! Thanks Nana and Pops!

Then off to Bicknell we went for the weekend. We took our eggs so Emma could decorate them with Mitch and Lex but they got their too late so Emma decorated her eggs with just us and she LOVED it! Mainly eating the eggs and dipping them, it was really fun watching her! She was covered in the dye, so when she finished straight to the tub she went!

This was how much she LOVED the eggs...she screamed when we took them away!!

Then came the fun of finding her eggs! The Easter Bunny hid them pretty obvious for her and she did a good job finding them. It seemed that her favorite thing about her baskte was the grass! Daph is showing her where to find one of her eggs! Mitch and Lex were fun to have at the house too..they would find Emma's first and then help her!

Then off to the sand by the Ranch where we would always go when we were young. It was really fun to go considering we hadn't been their for years! And Ems dived right in along with all of her cousins..she rolled eggs, played in the sand, crawled all over the place, and even ate some sand! She not afraid to get dirty...maybe she has a little of her mom in her...

First time rolling eggs, she wasn't sure what to do. All she wanted to do was eat the eggs...like everything else she touches! It is amazing what she puts to her mouth..I just keep thinking..she is building great antibodies..
Mitch entertaining Ems..he was SOOO great with her! She absolutely LOVED him and would get so excited when he was around!

Kelden, Jordan, Ems, and Dustin getting ready to head back to the Ranch. And some of the crew sitting around visiting and watching the kids play like crazy!
Mitch, Lexi, and Shelton all jumping off a ledge and catching some air! I remember doing these same things as kids...so fun!

Kierra, Shelton, Aja, and Ems playing in the sand.
When we finished playing in the sand we went back to the Ranch to see some of our cousins we hadn't seen for a really long time and while there I wanted to get a picture of all the grand kids with my dad. Ems was finally sleeping good so we just kept her in her car seat..it's the thought! Ems, Shelton, Brody, Haylie, Mitch, Dad, Destiny, Aja, Lexi, and Kierra...Kelden had already left so we missed him!
Later that night Mitch continued to entertain Ems by putting her in the stroller and running as fast as he could around the front room! She had so much fun, her hair was standing straight up from all the electricity..and she had poor Mitch out of breath after playing with her! He would stop and she would make it very clear she wanted to keep going! He was a trooper and the best babysitter! Thanks Mitch..we love you!
The weekend was a lot of fun and a good break right before the end of the semester! Two weeks left...I can't wait!

Just an Update!

I should be studying for my pharm test while I am here at work but blogging is just more fun right now...actually it's amazing what I find to do sometimes just so I don't have to study, it seems to be all what I do!! But only 3 weeks left and finals!! Yeah..I love the program but I am completely excited to be a MOM all summer! I was spoiled spring break and got just a glimpse of how nice it is going to be...playing at the park, going for walks, enjoying the weather, laughing at Ems cute little ways, cleaning (yes cleaning!), making dinner for my hubby, and being around with my hubby to actually be a wife!! It was so fun, I was in Heaven!!
We stayed here in Cedar most of the week and enjoyed the weather and being home! This is what I found Emma doing while I was in the kitchen...pulling out all of her wipes and throwing them around her!

Kaye and Kelsey came to Cedar for a few days and then headed to St. George, but on their stay in Cedar they watched Emma while we had a date to the movie! As you can tell Ems LOVED having them tend..she got treats..frazels are so yummy;) I love this pic cause if you look close you can see it falling down her chin!

Ems and I took a trip to St. George to see Kelsey and Kaye and after shopping and finding some cute outfits for Ems for summer we headed to see my grandpa and grandma! It was so nice seeing them, it seems that when they are in St. George we don't get to see them very often even though they are so close! We enjoyed the afternoon with them visiting and Ems entertaining us. Emma loved it on their grass, it was so green and soft, grandpa is making her laugh..so precious!!

My grandpa would do this for us as kids and has continued to do it with all of his great-grand kids too...he puts his finger in his cheek and pops it. Emma just stared at him trying to figure out what he was doing;)
For St. Patty's day Ems and I made green pancakes, milk, and applesauce for breakfast for Daddy!

Then at the end of the week all 3 of us headed back down to St. George to hang out with Kaye and Kelsey again! It was so nice and relaxing! We went shopping when we first got their and found Emma's Easter dress and these cute glasses that we are trying to get her to wear! We would have to distract her with other things so she would keep them on but all in all she did really good...I was impressed! Thanks guys for playing with us for a couple of days...I didn't want to leave!

The rest of the time we hung out at the house enjoying the company and weather! We took Ems to see the ducks and swans...this swan wasn't very nice it would follow you wherever you went and if you got too close snap at you! But she is pretty!
I love this picture of her in her cute sun hat from Nana and her chin rolls!

Since spring break our lives have been consumed with school and work! Andrew is in his last semester of the MBA program so he has been really busy with classes and his big final project! He amazes me at how he gets everything accomplished and does so well in class, and doesn't seem overwhelmed...me on the other hand, not so smooth flowing! But I am getting there...yeah;)

On the move!

I finally am sitting down at work and going to update our blog some. We have been really busy as usual but enjoying every minute as it comes...but that doesn't mean I can't hardly wait for summer to come and I get to be a MOM full time!! I am completely EXCITED!! Em's has been growing so much and has been keeping us on our toes! It was amazing how fast she went from sitting to now crawling!

She has taken a new love to pickles and sucks and gums them while she eats! She takes it out long enough to take a bite of her food and back in it goes....she acts like it is her binki! As you can tell in the picture it is flat on the end, that's from her gumming it!!

We went to Salt Lake to Andrew's grandpa's graveside service and it was such a beautiful day and enjoyable time to celebrate his grandpa's life as well as meet many new people. I got to see Andrew's Uncle Pat who I had only met once and his Uncle Mike who I had never met ( Andrew's Dads brothers). They were so fun and Emma loved them ;) They were hillarious, I was constantly laughing...when you get all those Walton men together it is pretty funny ;) At the graveside I sat Emma down to take some pictures, wondering how she would like the grass..well she didn't mind at all she liked pulling it and in this pic she decided to try some...

This is her playing with everything on her changing table. She loves to pull things off and explore what she can find on the shelf. She even tries to climb up on it...hasn't been successful yet but I am sure she will soon!

My mom and dad came down and visited us a couple of weekends ago and we had a lot of fun with them here! Emma adored all the attention and loved hanging out with them and wearing Grandpa's hat ;) Thanks for coming we loved having you guys!

She is so fun and loves to play with a toy for a second and then on to another. She can be sitting in the middle of the room with lots of toys around her and she battles her way through them to go to the TV stand! It is her favorite thing in the living room! The first day she really found out she could crawl she went straight to it and loves it! She puts her tiny fingers in the VHS slot and pushes buttons...it's fun to watch how amazed she is with it! However I realized we never use our VHS and I could see little finger marks in the dust in it...yuck! She also love to unplug it so we have had to put her little rocking chair in front of the outlet so she isn't constantly by it trying to unplug it ;)

This was the day after she took her first few crawls and now she goes everywhere, it is so much fun! She loves being able to go on her own, considering she gets to explore new places...some have been in her corner with all her toys, in the back room, kitchen, under the table, stairs...just about everywhere she is now checking out! I love it!! I love her face in this video...so determined! At the very end you can see her tongue sticking out...she does this ALL the time, she just loves having it out!

Enjoying the Warmth!

Because the weather has been so nice lately we have taken advantage of it as much as possible! We have gone on walks, rode our bikes, and took Emma swimming for the first time! This weather just makes me have spring fever...which isn't so good considering we are only JANUARY!! It definately hasn't been extremely warm but nice enough to bundle up and brave it for a little while, not to mention Emma absolutely loves being outside..she never makes a peep, just loves looking at all her surroundings!

We decided to take Emma to the SUU pool and she if she would like it. It turns out she had lots of fun! She never fussed or cried at all! At first she liked to stay close to us and just checked out her new surroundings but by the time we left she was kicking and didn't have to be right next to us! She is such a people watcher...she would stare at everyone in the pool and smile at all the kids when they would look her way! It was so much fun for us...we are now just waiting on a new pool toy for her..I can't wait!!

We hadn't been on a bike ride since a month before Emma was born so we were so excited to get out and take our little bundle with us...this time with dad! She seemed to really find it relaxing since about twenty minutes into the ride I looked over and she was snoozing!! We considered going home but figured she must be warm and comfortable so we kept riding! She did look like a little bobble doll at times..but slept right through it!
